The photograph at the top of this page is of Upper Nidderdale. Nidderdale is one of the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, England. It is the upper valley of the River Nidd. The River Nidd flows south along the dale. Along the way the river forms several reservoirs including the Gouthwaite Reservoir. Eventually the river flows east where it joins the River Ouse. Nidderdale was designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty back in 1994 and it certainly is. This would be an excellent area to explore by motorhome.
