Compass motorhomes are a brand name used by Elddis and were manufactured at a factory in County Durham, in the north of England. Model ranges such as the Drifter coachbuilt motorhome are notable vehicles produced by Compass during the 1990s. The first Compass Drifters were based on the Talbot Express and early Fiat Ducato commercial van engine and chassis. From 1994 the Peugeot Boxer or Fiat Ducato engine and vehicle bases were used. Other Compass model ranges include the Avantgarde, Suntor and Sunseeker.
