Legoland Windsor Review

legoland-windsor-reviewIf you are passing by the west of London on your motorhome holiday, why not pop into Legoland at Windsor? Here is my Legoland Windsor review.

Playing with Lego was always one of my favourite playtimes as a child, so seeing what can be done within Legoland really made my rudimentary castles and cars look pretty bad!

In ‘Miniland’ there are scenes from the USA and Europe that they are so good they are instantly recognizable. Feel like a giant wandering past the London Eye and whilst towering over Canary Wharf.

As well as the amazing Lego scenes Legoland has a huge amount of rides and attractions. ‘The Hill Train’ will gently tour the park giving you the chance to see here you want to go next. The littler ones will love the Duplo soft surfaced ‘Play Town’ area while the older kids will find plenty to do in the ‘Pirates Training Camp’. Based on a pirate ship the camp is a multi platform climbing area. Plenty of slides to slide and ropes to climb here.

The Nordic themed Lokis maze is a hedge maze where you twist and turn trying to find the elusive Loki. Kids will love spending time in here but children under 7 must be accompanied so unfortunately you cant send them in for some piece and quiet!

If you do want a little quiet time take your picnic to ‘Enchanted Forest’ Eat lunch while watching the animals in a natural, peaceful habitat. ‘Waterworks’ is always popular on a summer’s day. A discovery area where you and yours will definitely get pretty wet!

The ‘Fairytale Brook’ is a boat ride that takes you gently downstream to see lots of fairytale favorites like Little Red Riding Hood and fairy kings and Queens. If your kids fancy becoming a Captain of a boat they can take the wheel in ‘Boating School’ Steer your way around various obstacles to be come the commander of the fleet. There are also remote control boats nearby if you would rather stay dry!

These are just a few of the few of the features at Legoland, not a totally comprehensive Legoland Windsor Review, but not bad. There are plenty more including thrill rides for bigger kids and shows to suit all. Legoland is an hour west of Central London and is open 20 March to 7 November but check the website before traveling as Legoland closes on selected mid weekdays.
